STIG NHL 2K Remediation Mortar

Two-component high ductile mortar for repair and constructive masonry reinforcement.

Information

  • Two-component mortar based on hydraulic binder, reinforced with alkali-resistant fibers and polymer additives intended for rehabilitation and constructive reinforcement of traditional and combined masonry. Suitable for filling masonry joints, for leveling substrates before reinforcing, for reinforcing and consolidating traditional and combined masonry in a system with alkali-resistant glass mesh or carbon mesh, to prevent surface cracks and separation of mortar in anti-seismic remediation.

STIG NHL 2 K REMEDIATION MORTAR is part of the STIG FRCM system.

  • Bag 25 kg (component A) + bucket 6.1 l (component B).

  • 1.9 kg/m2/mm

It is applied on substrates:

  • brick masonry
  • mixed masonry made of stone and brick

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

All substrates must be clean, solid, wearable, dry, unfrozen. Properly prepared. The existing plaster needs to be cleaned to the base (brick wall, stone or mixed masonry). Replace damaged parts of the wall or brick. Clean the joints between bricks or stones 10 to 20 mm deep and brush and dust the entire surface.

Wash the surface with water under pressure (200-400 bar).

Before applying the mortar, it is necessary to moisten the surface with water to capillary saturation.

Extremely absorbent surfaces need to be impregnated with STIGOCRYL impregnation, which needs to be diluted with water in a ratio of 1:3 (1 part STIGOCRYL: 3 parts of water) 4-6 h before applying the mortar.

MATERIAL PREPARATION:

Pour the B component of the product into a larger container. Gradually add component A to the bowl and mix the electric mixer into a homogeneous mass, in the prescribed proportion. It is recommended to use a lower mixing speed to prevent air from drawing into the mixture. Leave the mixed material to stand for about 5 minutes (maturation time) and gently stir it again before use.

To achieve optimal consistency, if necessary, add water (up to 2% to the total amount).

Use the mixed material within 60 minutes, stirring occasionally during operation.

APPLICATION:

FILLING JOINTS:

Thoroughly cleaned, dusted joints, moistened with water or impregnated with STIGOCRYL impregnation, it is necessary to fill the STIG NHL 2K with REMEDIATION MORTAR by stamping the mortar with the help of a trowel or masonry spoon.

SUBSTRATE LEVELING:

STIG NHL 2K REMEDIATION MORTAR must be applied manually or mechanically to an adequately prepared substrate in a layer up to 25 mm thick. If it is planned to apply material in a thickness of more than 25 mm, it is necessary to apply the material in two layers, with the precondition that the second layer is applied to the hardened first layer.

If the leveling is performed as a base for the performance of reinforcement, it is necessary to apply the second layer after the passage of at least 24 hours.

REINFORCEMENT – FRCM SYSTEM

STIG NHL 2K REPAIR MORTAR must be applied with a metal trowel to a pre-moistened or impregnated substrate in a 5 mm thick layer. The fresh first layer of mortar must be stamped with the project-provided alkali-resistant glass mesh (e.g. AR 280) or carbon mesh C 200 g/m² or C 180 g/m²). When installing a mesh, it is necessary to make mesh flaps of min 10 cm in the transverse direction and 25 cm in the longitudinal direction. The second layer stig nhl 2k remediation mortar must be applied to the fresh first layer of mortar. Immediately after application, the mortar can be surface treated using a metal or spongy trowel. After partial drying, moisten the surface with water and smooth well with a sponge trowel.

STIG NHL 2K REMEDIATION MORTar can be installed manually and with the help of machines.

The built-in reinforcement of the wall with mortar, depending on the requirement of the project, is additionally anchored using a SINGLE ANCHOR, DOUBLE ANCHOR OR CARBON ROPE. The number of anchors, the length of the anchors, as well as the installation positions are defined by the project.

In the period of warm and windy weather, the surfaces treated with STIG NHL 2K REMEDIATION MORTAR should be lightly sprayed with water for 3 days.

When carrying out work, it is necessary to adhere to the current building norms.

REMARK:

If the contractor notices or suspects an application or aesthetic defect of the product during the installation of the purchased product, he is obliged, in accordance with the behavior of a good businessman, to suspend the installation of the product in order to minimize any damage and without delay send a complaint to the manufacturer, who will process and resolve the complaint as soon as possible.

Complaints addressed to the manufacturer after most or all of the purchased material has been installed cannot be the subject of the complaint nor will the damage thus incurred. Hidden flaws are addressed separately.
